Meet Glow

Hi, I'm Glow.

I'm the friend who texts you back “don't buy that” before you've finished typing the question. I read every comment, bought 47 things this year so you can buy two, and I have opinions about your serum drawer.

Glow Lab is an independent beauty publication. No sponsors. No PR boxes. No “dewy on dry skin in five minutes” lies. Just verdicts — the kind a friend who actually tried it would give you.

What Glow stands for

Four rules, zero exceptions.

No sponsors. No paid placements.

Nobody pays to be here. No PR boxes, no “gifted” asterisks, no brand deciding the score. We use affiliate links — but they never touch the verdict (more on that below).

Real voices, not press releases

Every verdict is built from real people — Reddit threads, YouTube comments, the group chat — not a brand's launch deck. We read the comments so you don't have to.

Loyal to your skin & your wallet

A $19 tub that works beats a $90 jar that photographs well. When the drugstore one wins, we say so — loudly.

Honest about what we don't know

Every verdict shows its receipts: how many voices, how many videos, how confident we are. “Early read” means exactly that. We'd rather be honest than certain.

How a verdict is made
The method

How a verdict is made.

  1. Listen. We gather what real owners say across Reddit, YouTube and beyond — hundreds of voices per product, not a handful of cherry-picked five-stars.
  2. Weigh. We watch the videos, count the repeat-buyers, and flag where the stories disagree — because that tension is usually where the truth lives.
  3. Verdict. Glow writes it up in plain English with a score, a confidence level, and an honest take. No jargon, no filler, no “set an intention.”
How the affiliate links work

“Yes, there are affiliate links — if you buy through one, I might earn a few cents, at no extra cost to you. But here's my rule: the score is written before any link exists, and anything under 6/10 gets no link at all. I'd rather lose the commission than sell you a bottle I told you to skip.”
